Consultations and plans for health services (Future Fit) are at the top of the agenda for the next meeting of the Ludlow and Clee Area Local Joint Committee (LJC) on Thursday 13 November. There will also be an opportunity for residents to engage with councillors and the police. Everyone is welcome.

LJC chairman Richard Huffer explains:

“The LJC is not like a conventional committee meeting. It’s more an open forum to explain and debate the changes going on in our communities here in Ludlow and Clee.”

“I am really pleased that health is topping the agenda at this meeting. Many people are really worried that the Ludlow area will lose out in this round of cuts and changes to health provision. It will be an opportunity for local health champion Peter Gilliard to his perspective on the Future Fit programme.”

“The meeting will hear the latest news on the future of the former recycling and highway facilities at Coder Road. There will also be updates from the local police and from parish councils.”

The meeting will be at 7pm next Thursday, 13 November in the St John Ambulance Hall, Smithfield Car Park, Ludlow. Local police will be attending from 6.30pm to answer any local policing or community safety concerns.
