The four Shropshire councillors for Ludlow and Clee have launched a community survey to find out just what matters to people who live in Ludlow and the surrounding area. The survey is online at: teamludlow.uk

Vivienne Parry, Shropshire Councillor for Ludlow South said:

“A lot of people have contacted me about streetlights. They say they don’t feel as safe going to work in the early morning or going home after midnight. We’d like hear what people think. Should we turn all the streetlights back on or just a few of them? Or perhaps people are happy with them turned off. We’d like to know everyone’s views”

Tracey Huffer, Shropshire Councillor for Ludlow East said:

“The biggest issue in the last few months has been the future of hospital services. We’re asking people how important Ludlow Hospital is to them and whether we should keep an A&E department at Shrewsbury. We also would like to know what they think of Future Fit, the programme to reshape hospital services in Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin.”

Richard Huffer, Shropshire Councillor for Clee said:

“This is the biggest survey we have ever launched. We’ve done surveys of parts of the area before but this time we want to hear from everyone. We are as keen to get responses from people in rural areas as those in Ludlow itself.”

Andy Boddington, Shropshire Councillor for Ludlow North said:

“This is a non-political survey. We are not asking how people voted or who they think should be Labour leader. We are concerned solely with how safe people feel in the town and what they think about health services. The survey is completely anonymous.”

The results from the survey will be published at the end of October. A report will also be made to the meeting of the Ludlow and Clee Local Joint Committee on 22 October. People can complete the survey online at:

teamludlow.uk

People not online should contact one of the councillors directly with any concerns they have.
