Polling stations opened at 7am this morning for unitary and local council elections across Shropshire. Here is Ludlow, all four unitary seats are being contested, along with two town council seats.

The polls close at 10pm tonight. The votes will be counted tomorrow. Please vote for your Lib Dem candidate. We work hard for the interests of the areas we represent and for the future of our county.

Liberal Democrat candidates for Ludlow and Clee

Unitary candidates

Ludlow North. Candidates: Andy Boddington (Lib Dem), Simon Harris (Conservative), Linda Senior (Green), Christopher Woodward (UKIP). Polling stations: The Clive, St Peter’s Parish Centre, Ludlow Mascall Centre.

Ludlow South. Candidates: Vivienne Parry (Lib Dem), Michael Penn (Labour), Fiona Pizzoni (Conservative). Polling stations: Ashford Carbonel Village Hall, Ludlow Elim Church, Richard’s Castle Village Hall.

Ludlow East. Candidates: Tracey Huffer (Lib Dem), Patricia Price (Conservative), Colin Sheward (Labour). Ludlow Baptist Church (Rockspring Centre), St Peter’s Parish Centre.

Clee. Candidates: Richard Huffer (Lib Dem), Richard Wheeler (Conservative). Polling stations: Bitterley, Knowbury and Nash Village Halls; Burford Parish Hall.

Ludlow Town Council

Hayton Ward. 2 members. Candidates: Mark Clarke, Erica Garner, Kevin Newbold.

Whitcliffe Ward. 2 members. Candidates: Tim Gill, Nicola Paton, Jim Smithers.

Voting

Postal votes. Many of you will have already voted by post. If you haven’t, you can take your completed postal vote form the appropriate polling station before 10pm.
