Shropshire Council leader Peter Nutting will be travelling to Ludlow for a public discussion on public services in the area. The meeting will be hosted by the Ludlow and Clee Local Joint Committee on Thursday 14 September from 7pm. From 6pm, the meeting will also feature an exhibition on proposed changes to car parking charges and length of stay in Ludlow.

Peter Nutting says:

“The council is still under huge financial pressure but it is not quite the doom and gloom we have heard in the past. I am looking forward to talking to people in Ludlow about how Shropshire Council is changing. We are modernising the council root and branch. We want to deliver better services within a reduced budget.”

Andy Boddington, chairman of the Local Joint Committee says:

“This is an important meeting for Ludlow. It will be an opportunity to hear what the Shropshire Council is planning and how it will affect our town. It will be a chance for members of the public to ask questions about the future of local services.”

The meeting will be held at 7pm, 14 September at the Elim Church, Smithfield, Ludlow.

The meeting will also feature an exhibition and consultation on proposed changes to parking arrangements in Ludlow. This will be a repeat of the drop-in session held on Tuesday, 5 September. More than 100 people attended that session, writing more than 100 hundred comments.
