It’s your chance to quiz the candidates for the South Shropshire constituency in the 4 July general election. Churches Together Around Ludlow (CTAL) has organised a hustings on the evening of Tuesday 25 June at St Laurence’s Church, Ludlow.
Doors at the Church will open to public at 6:30pm and the meeting will commence at 7pm. The event will last no more than 90 minutes.
Questions can be submitted in writing on the night at St Laurence’s Church in Ludlow or emailed to colinsheward@yahoo.co.uk by 9am on Monday.
Stuart Anderson (Conservative), Matthew Green (Liberal Democrat), Charles Shackerley-Bennett (Reform UK), Simon Thomson (Labour) and Hilary Wendt (Green Party) are expected to be present to present to answer questions.
The meeting will follow a fairly traditional hustings style and CTAL asks candidates and the audience to recognize and respect that the meeting is held in a place of worship and hopes that this will moderate language and behaviour.
Paul Kemp will the meeting. Paul is a Reader of the Church of England. He is a retired solicitor who is now engaged in family mediation services. He is not affiliated to any political party.
